What is menopause? Menopause is the cessation of menses and the time leading up to that is called peri-menopause. Women naturally move through the three stages of menopause; peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause (one full year without a period) throughout a period of 10-13 years. This natural aging process for women can vary from a relatively symptom free to a very impactful experience with many debilitating symptoms. The degree at which these menopausal symptoms are felt can be impacted by a combination of lifestyle and genetics.

Therapeutic Menopause Massage: This deeply calming and rejuvenating 90 minute menopause massage treatment was designed by licensed massage therapist, Claire Marie Miller. The goal is to help calm the nervous system by using slow, rhythmic, and relaxing Swedish massage techniques to sooth the body and mind. This unique menopause massage includes calming Shiatsu compressions and acupressure techniques, gentle lymphatic massage strokes, and a foot reflexology treatment.
