Philosophy on Sleep
Every human being needs their sleep. The first place to look when helping guide a mother through this
transition, is establishing solid and effective sleep habits for her baby. Not only is sleep vital to a mother’s
mental and physical health, but it’s essential for a baby’s as well. In a WebMD article, “Infant Growth Spurts
Tied to More Sleep” by Denise Mann, “(A) Growth hormone is produced during the deeper stages of sleep.
“This is the first study to actually show a relationship between sleep time and growth spurts, and it reiterates
that infants and children need high-quality sleep,” says sleep expert Michael Breus, PhD.” It is being
scientifically proven that sleep is a fundamental need for infant babies.
We also know how much better women and families cope with the stress of having a new baby when parents are getting rest! We are here to help you feel your best and getting enough sleep is an essential part of a persons self care routine.
Why Having a Sleep Coach Helps
There are many ways to assist your baby with a restful and full night’s sleep! Our qualified, compassionate, and helpful sleep coach is here to listen to your concerns, problem solve, and encourage you to stick with your new routines.
Starting at four months of age, our sleep coach, Robyn, will come to help you transition your baby to a crib which includes a full night’s sleep of 11-12 hours and three naps a day. She assists in getting your baby on schedule based on your needs as
well as your child’s. This method is very “baby-led” since every child and family have their own unique lives and personalities. Although this method will involve your baby “calling out”, Robyn will help guide you along the entire journey, giving words of encouragement and helping during moments of unease or the unknown. Many families benefit from the around-the-clock-guidance and if done right, it only takes a few days!
What to Expect During Your Session
We will begin by gathering information about what is working and what you may need more support with in regards to your child's sleep routine and environment. Then we will create a customized plan to help encourage healthy sleep habits for your child(ren) and stay connected with you afterwards to help problem solve and stay committed to your goals.
Our Sleep Coaching Programs:
A free 30 minute phone consultation to see if hiring a sleep coach will support your needs.
2-Hour Phone Consultant: $200
48 Hour Remote Sleep Training: $800
48 Hour In-person Sleep Training: $1,000
We are here to support you so you don't have to go through sleep training alone. Let us "doula" you through the process and help both YOU and your baby get more sleep!
Meet our Sleep Coach, Robyn
Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Robyn went to Kenston High School then Kent State University for her bachelor’s degree in Middle Childhood Education then her master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel, specializing in International Education and Exchange. After her master’s degree, she traveled to Germany to teach English and met her now husband who was also teaching English.
Moving onto work at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, Robyn spent the past ten years there working in adult education administration and starting a family! During her time in Los Angeles, Robyn learned the benefits and found the beautiful community of yoga. Completing her 200-hour yoga certificate with the Mukti Yoga School in Manhattan Beach, CA, she specialized in the Therapeutics side which included pre/postnatal yoga. Once her second child entered the family, she decided to slow down and stay home with her two small kids. Here is where she learned the multiple benefits of sleep training, working as a sleep coach for Sweet Dreams LA who follows the Mommywise sleep training philosophy and method. She has helped many families get back their much-needed sleep while helping babies learn how to fall asleep on their own! She is now offering her services at The Womb Wellness center, where she focuses on postpartum health and sleep training babies.
